Mathias Schubert
University of Nebraska–Lincoln
Prof. Mathias Schubert is a globally recognized leader in materials science and optical spectroscopy, renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the understanding of semiconductor physics, nanostructured materials, and advanced ellipsometry techniques. As the J.A. Woollam Distinguished Professor of Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, he has pioneered innovative research in the optical Hall effect, interface polarization coupling, and form-induced optical anisotropy in low-symmetry crystalline and nanostructured systems. His development of cutting-edge spectroscopic tools, including terahertz electron paramagnetic resonance ellipsometry for defect characterization in ultrawide-bandgap semiconductors, has opened new frontiers in materials analysis.
